A broad-spectrum anthelmintic, Zentel 400 mg kills worms caused by a variety of parasites. It kills worms by preventing them from taking in glucose. Common intestinal worms, including roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms, are especially susceptible to Zentel’s effects.
Infections caused by tapeworm larvae, such as cysticercosis and echinococcosis (hydatid disease), are also treated with it. Furthermore, it can alleviate pinworm infestations. Treatment for more complicated infections, such as hydatid cysts or neurocysticercosis, may necessitate prolonged or repeated dosages, but it is very effective for the majority of these parasites.
